Our Story

A piece
worth saving.

Every home has furniture that means more than it looks like on the surface.

A family dining table. A dresser passed down through generations. A solid wood piece that was built to last but has been scratched, damaged, outdated, or pushed into storage.

Over time, the damage gets worse. Finishes fail. Joints loosen. Styles change. Eventually, owners face a difficult choice: replace the piece, throw it away, or keep living with furniture they no longer enjoy.

But replacing furniture cannot replace its history, craftsmanship, or memories.

That is where Furniture Pros comes in.

We repair, restore, refinish, and reimagine furniture worth saving. Customers simply send us photos, and we help determine what the piece needs, what it will cost, and what it can become.

Then we bring it back to life, repairing the structure, restoring the finish, updating the style, and preparing it for years of continued use.

The result is more than restored furniture.

It is the moment a customer looks at a piece they nearly gave up on and says:

“I can’t believe that’s the same piece.”

Furniture Pros helps people rediscover the value in what they already own, turning worn furniture into beautiful pieces, forgotten furniture into conversation pieces, and family furniture into something worth passing down again.

Before & After

The same piece,
twice.

Every piece below arrived needing work: scratched, water stained, painted over, or loose at the joints. The after shots show what the wood was hiding.

Pine dresser

The old finish came off entirely. The top was taken back to bare wood and refinished to show the grain; the case was repaired, painted, and fitted with new brass hardware.

Serpentine drawer fronts refinished and the original brass cleaned and refitted, with the ball and claw feet brought back to match.

This whole piece was taken back to bare wood and refinished, and the original brass polished and put back where it started.

The difference is in the details. Worn back to bare wood at the toes, rebuilt and refinished to match the rest of the case.

What We Do

Furniture restoration,
refinishing & repair.

Solid wood and veneer alike. Most of what comes through the shop simply needs bringing back after thirty good years in a home. Here’s the work we do most.

  1. 01

    Scratch & Dent Repair

Water rings, gouges, heat marks, and dents sanded out and blended back into the surrounding finish so the repair disappears.

  2. 02

    Restore & Refinish

Finishes that have lost their depth taken back to bare wood, repaired, and brought up again by hand. We work on veneer as readily as solid wood, including lifting or chipped veneer that needs laying back down.

  3. 03

    Stain & Color Changes

You like the piece, not the color. Orange oak, dated cherry, and heavy nineties tones brought into something that fits the room you have now.

  4. 04

    Old Paint Removal

Layer by layer, old paint comes off and the grain underneath comes back into view. It is usually better than anyone expects.

  5. 05

    Custom Furniture Redesign

Keep the piece, change what it is. New color, new finish, new hardware, and an inherited dresser becomes a vanity.

  6. 06

    Structural Repairs

Chairs that wobble, drawers that stick, legs that have worked loose. Re-glued, rebuilt, and made solid enough to hand down.

How It Works

Three steps, and
you have it back.

Getting a straight answer about your own furniture should be easy. You send photos. We take it from there.

  2. We tell you what it needs

A clear assessment of the piece and a real price, with everything laid out plainly so the decision is yours to make.

  3. You love it again

The repairs, the stripping, the staining, the finish. It comes back to you as good as new.

That piece under a blanket in the garage could be back in your living room, better than you remember it. Start with a photo

Three angles help us read a piece: the front, one side, and the top. If something specific needs attention, a close-up in place of one of these is just as useful.

We’ll only use your details to reply about your furniture. Prefer to call or text your photos instead? 916 · 893 · 7467.

What kind of furniture do you work on?
Solid wood and veneer pieces of nearly any age: dressers, dining tables, chairs, cabinets, sideboards, desks, headboards, and heirloom furniture. Veneer gets the same care as solid wood, including pieces where it has lifted or chipped. Not sure about yours? Send a photo and we’ll take a look.
How do I get a quote?
Whichever is easiest for you. Send photos through the form on this page, or text them to 916 · 893 · 7467. And if you’re within about 10 miles of Lincoln, CA, we’re happy to drive out and look at the piece in person. Photos let us see the wood, the finish, and the repair, so you get a real number rather than a guess.
What does refinishing cost?
It depends on the size of the piece, the condition it’s in, and the finish you want. A single chair and a full dining set are very different jobs, which is why we start with photos rather than a flat rate.
What areas do you serve?
Roseville, Rocklin, Lincoln, Granite Bay, Loomis, Citrus Heights, Folsom, El Dorado Hills, Sacramento, Elk Grove, and the surrounding communities. Within about 10 miles of Lincoln, CA we can come to your home to see the piece.
